Tour de Fleur: Introducing #AnthroInBloomMarch 16, 2018
Each season, our visual team stuns us with handcrafted window installations. From towering saguaro cacti to traffic-stopping polar bears, they’ve done it all—usually, with little more than paper, scissors, and some truly one-of-a-kind imaginations.
But this spring, we think they’ve outdone even themselves. In honor of the season, #AnthroInBloom, a traveling floral installation, will make its way across the country, getting plenty of fresh air along the way. “We wanted to expand our windows and make them part of the outdoors, part of spring,” says display manager Tyler Ingle.
The exhibit is composed of hundreds of marigold and carnation garlands, each meticulously handcrafted and detailed. Although the same flowers will be used at each store, no two #AnthroInBloom installations are alike—each will take its cues from the unique architecture and atmosphere of the hosting store.
We’re so inspired by the project that we wanted our friends to be part of it. Customers are invited to sign their names on tags, which will be added to the garlands as they make their way from coast to coast. “We’re thrilled that the installation can catalogue its own journey and the people it encounters along the way,” says Tyler.
After making its debut at our Santa Monica store, #AnthroInBloom is officially on the move. We hope to see you at one of the installations below!
