This Just In: Soho Home at Anthropologie

November 13, 2017

Have you met the Soho Home collection? We’re head-over-heels for it, and we’ll get to why. But first, a brief history:

Founded in a Georgian townhouse in London in 1995, Soho House is a private members’ club. Its mission? To provide a relaxing refuge for likeminded makers, movers and shakers in creative fields. Today, 18 Soho Houses dot the globe from Mumbai to Malibu, each complete with the comforts of home—assuming your home includes a rooftop pool, lavish spa, renowned restaurant, and gorgeous decor.

Now, member or not, you can enjoy a bit of Soho House with their interiors collection, Soho Home, which we’re proud to announce is available stateside exclusively at Anthropologie. Each design has been tried and tested in the Houses, and is inspired by their distinctive aesthetic.

Without further ado, allow us to introduce you to some of our favorites.

The Burleigh Collection

Burleigh ceramics are known the world over for their intricate floral patterns produced using Victorian techniques (and machinery!). The artisans in the 150-year-old Stoke-on-Trent factory use a method known as “underglaze tissue-printing” to create each piece’s iconic pattern—in fact, they’re one of the last potteries to use the traditional process. What does it entail, exactly? Each floral print is expertly hand-applied using engraved copper ink rollers and tissue-thin paper.

The Whichford Collection

Just 20 minutes down the road from Soho House’s Oxfordshire Farmhouse—a 100-acre countryside retreat with 40 well-appointed cabins—you’ll find Whichford Pottery. The family-run studio has been handcrafting ceramics for the kitchen and garden for more than four decades using traditional British stoneware and techniques. With a wink to 1950s milk jugs, they created this rustic striped collection exclusively for the Farmhouse.

The Hempton Enamelware Collection

Edged in Soho Farmhouse’s signature shade of green, the Hempton Collection is equal parts hard-wearing and charming. It’s crafted from durable enamelware, making it an ideal choice for picnics, BBQs, and bustling kitchens alike. An heirloom in the making, this collection is made to be lived with and loved throughout the years.

The Country House Collection

The casual Country House collection is perfect for relaxed, everyday dining. Natural cotton lends the table linens a homespun feel, which is why you can spot this collection in the Farmhouse’s restaurant. The artisan-crafted glassware is mouth-blown from recycled materials, resulting in tiny air bubbles suspended within each unique piece. And if you want to really take it easy? The Country House picnic blanket should do the trick.

The Barwell Cut Crystal Collection

You’ll find the Barwell glassware in every Soho House, from Berlin to Babington. Each piece is hand-cut and hand-etched by artisans in Slovenia, who draw influence from a centuries-long history of glassmaking. Once finished, the highly polished crystal sparkles in the sunlight, making it the perfect addition to holiday bar carts.
