It’s 5-O’Clock Somewhere: Spiked Lemonade with Basil
When mom offers advice, we sit up and listen. When mom offers advice about cocktails, we stop sitting and start mixing, because as far as cocktails are concerned, she has yet to lead us astray (haircuts and prom dresses are another story). After one of our Anthro moms glowingly reviewed this recipe, which she found in Women’s Health, we whipped it up for ourselves and realized we had to share it with you.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
12 whole fresh basil leaves
a bottle of dry white wine, like Sauvignon Blanc
2 cups lemonade
3/4 cup limoncello
HOW TO MAKE IT
In a pitcher, like our classic Hobnail, combine the basil, wine, lemonade and limoncello.
Give it a good stir, and chill for at least one hour.
Skip the stemware and serve in a tumbler.
