On Living Abroad: When I was teaching in Italy, I loved everything about day-to-day lifewalking on cobblestone streets, a cappuccino at the bar near my apartment, the light shining through Piazza Santo Stefano and the beautiful view of tiled rooftops from my window.
On Tools: The ingredients for a productive workday include my very favorite penthe Pilot Hi-Tec C 0.4, to be exacta dip pen, nib and oak gall ink, watercolors, gouache, paper, linen, friends, dogs, hikes, yoga, ballet and cuddling.
On Puppy Love: Henry is a ridiculously sweet pug. He likes daily hikes in the hilly forests and running on the beach. Nico is Henry’s counterparta rascal through and through. He’s the fastest dog in the West and loves fetching anything, especially pinecones.
On Childhood: I was captain of my swim team in high school. Backstroke was my best event.
On the Holidays: My vision for a perfect festive day is simpletime with loved ones, a walk near the water, and a table with fresh food and candles.
