It’s 5-O’Clock Somewhere: Saffron Champagne Cocktail

It’s been a beautiful four weeks of bubbly, but it’s time to bring our month-long celebration of champagne cocktails to a close. No to worry, though, we’re signing off with something more precious than golda saffron-infused beverage that’s sure to knock your socks off with its sweet, earthy flavor (not to mention the herbaceous punch of gin).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

1 orange
1 ½ oz saffron-infused gin
½ oz simple syrup
Ice
Chilled dry champagne
Saffron strands

HOW TO MAKE IT

Combine the gin, juice from the orange, simple syrup and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a champagne flute. Top with chilled champagne and garnish with a few saffron strands.
